brand new to yoga? I've been there.


​You want to build your strength, increase flexibility, be less stressed and get some exercise, but the studio environment can be intimidating (and, in a pandemic twist, not available right now anyway).
​
You think you’re not flexible enough to do yoga. You’re worried about what to wear and how to get through class without looking silly. In some places they don’t even use the English names of the poses! You need a non-judgmental space to learn the basics, ask questions, and have fun.

That's where I come in.

I believe that yoga is for all people, and that includes people of all sizes and experience levels. I’m not interested in you getting the pose ‘the way it’s supposed to look’. Yoga is meant to serve you. I want you to feel confident and competent participating in a yoga practice, enjoying the incredible benefits without contorting your body in ways it was never meant to go.

You need a teacher that isn’t judgy and knows what to do. I have taught hundreds of beginners how to do yoga in ways that work for them. I have been teaching yoga for 7 years and have literally taught thousands of classes to non-flexible people. I am a master at demystifying yoga.

And that’s why I created the ‘Yoga for Brand New Beginners’ program.

In this program you will learn:

-All of the basic yoga poses and how to modify them in a way that works for YOUR body
-What to expect in a real-life (or Zoom) class
-Simple breathwork and meditation techniques to calm stress and build stamina
-How to build your confidence and make yoga a regular part of your routine! 

Here’s the format:
-One hour of live instruction over Zoom on 4 Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. from January 9-30. These classes will break down all of the poses in a typical yoga class and also allow for some practice time at the end
-One video emailed to you each week talking about a specific aspect of yoga (e.g. breathwork, philosophy, etc.)​ 
-Two at-home practice videos each week (one breathwork/meditation, one yoga) to further your understanding
