what we are doing to battle covid-19
Hey, Nick here. I wanted to tell you what we're doing as we prepare again for in-studio classes here at Flip Dog. We take COVID seriously and we are committed to keeping you safe.
Personally, my family has been serious about taking the necessary precautions, and I will bring that level of caution to the studio.
Listed below is a mix of both what we are doing in-studio and what students coming for class should expect to keep all of us safe while still getting great yoga. If you still have questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out.
-Please sign up for classes ahead of time (not like a month ahead of time, but, you know, before you actually come to class). Due to strict limits on how many people we can accommodate, we want to make sure that we have a place for you!
-As an fyi, we are limiting attendance to 6 people per class, which will give each person more than 6 feet of space between them and someone else.
-You may want to bring your own water bottle. If not, we have a water jug with single-serve cups (dispenser cleaned after every class).
-Regarding mats and blocks, we encourage you to bring your own mat and block. We will sell you a *profusely cleaned* used block for $8, or you can use one of ours-we ask you spray/wipe it down after class. Mats can be rented for $5. If classes use a bolster, please feel free to use one of ours. We wash them after each class.
Prior to class, if you are not feeling well, please do not come! If you feel fine, please come and enter through the back door (I envision walking through the space will be a little easier this way) with your mask on and over your nose and mouth. When you come in, the teacher will greet you and take your temperature. He or she will also ask you a brief health questionnaire.
Once that is done, you can use the cubbies (cleaned after every class) for your things and head to one of the available spots for your mat. Each spot will be marked with a black line. This is the mark for the front of your mat. Unroll your mat and get set up. Please keep your mask on, as masks are required throughout class.
The teacher will also have a set space for class.
There will be hand sanitizer throughout the space and increased cleaning after every class. There will also be air purifiers in the space to take as many germs out of the air as possible.
When you are ready to leave after class, please consider waiting to head to the cubbies until no one else is nearby. Enjoy the rest of your day!
